I’ve attended 4 prenatal yoga classes with Alex and I always come away feeling connected, calm and replenished.
Alex offers adjustments throughout all the transitions to suit all levels which is so helpful. Her teaching style and calm, positive and charismatic demeanour make the class a pleasure to attend.
The environment is incredibly welcoming and zen and the facilities are fantastic - including fresh water, dates and dark chocolate to conclude the class! I’ve never used props before in yoga and having cushions, bolsters, eye masks and yoga balls makes it a unique experience. Also not needing to bring a mat is very helpful too.
I’m looking forward to taking part in postnatal yoga when my little one arrives.

I also just wanted to thank you for your amazing pregnancy yoga classes. I had a very long labour and what could have been considered a traumatic birth but I used what I learned in your classes and kept strong and calm (including your nidra recording which was such a godsend!) and I can look back at it as a positive experience so I can’t thank you enough! Your classes will always be a fond memory from my pregnancy and I’m looking forward to getting back to it 😊

I started Alex’s pregnancy yoga classes when I was 16 weeks pregnant, before Covid so I could come to the studio. I remember tentatively saying ‘I am just 16 weeks pregnant’. Alex picked up on this quickly and said something along the lines of ‘you are not just 16 weeks pregnant, you’ve been through the first trimester and you are so welcome’. Immediately I felt at ease, and this compassion and kindness was there throughout every session I did.

I was not a typical yoga person, I had never done more than one session in a row but pregnancy yoga with Alex was more than that. It was an opportunity to connect with other pregnant women, to take time for yourself and to be honest about the emotional side and whether you were left feeling exhausted or invigorated.

I was gutted when the studio had to close for Covid but continued with zoom sessions. I would never have continued yoga with just a youtube channel, these sessions were more than just a set of yoga poses. I also don’t particularly like zoom! However, throughout lockdown and my pregnancy Alex’s Sunday night sessions were a constant for me. In one session, I sent Alex an email afterwards staying: ‘I totally fell asleep at the end of the last session! Don’t think I quite appreciated how exhausted I was. I also wanted to thank you for always adapting the sessions so well to how we are feeling and what we need. I slept much better so will try to incorporate more of the hip strengthening exercises into my day because it seemed to work!’

I mentioned that the sessions were more than just a set of yoga poses. Each session involved a yoga nidra which for me was a highlight. A reminder to take time to look after yourself. Alex recorded a yoga nidra and I used this in the last weeks of pregnancy to help me sleep. I even used it during my early labour. I wrote to Alex saying ‘I’ve been listening to a few hypnobirthing scripts but for some reason the familiarity of your nidra and the fact that it relates to the yoga sessions and being a voice of someone I trust really helps.’

Honestly Alex, I know I’ve said it before but the pregnancy yoga classes were so important to me during my pregnancy. Thank you. Now to try to find time for post natal yoga!

I am the mother of two very young girls, a working mother, a very busy and tired mother. I started my yoga lessons with Alex feeling my body tight and sore. We started with the very basics, with Alex guiding me on this journey to merge my body, mind and soul into one.

She was a great teacher, always explaining every movement as many times as I needed and correcting my form. She was very calm and she had a positive and nutritious energy that made me feel at home. She was very thorough and always encouraging me to try new and more challenging poses.

Very soon her lessons were a must for me and the highlight of my day. Her lessons made me feel lighter, stronger and more energised, I just loved them!

Alex’s Pregnancy Yoga Classes have been so nourishing to me throughout lockdown. I have been able to carve out a window of time every week for me and my body. I found Alex’s classes so relaxing and such a safe space that I even used her playlist throughout the birth of my baby boy and listened to her yoga nidra throughout surges. She was very much part of my birth story.

Alex’s class is highly recommended - she made me feel extremely welcome, safe and nurtured and the practice was really nourishing. I have Scoliosis so it sometimes takes my muscles a little longer to release but I felt really rejuvenated after the session - thanks again Alex!

This was a great session with Alex. There was a variety of yoga poses working on stretching and strengthening the body with a varied amount of difficulty. There was also some great relaxation and breathing techniques. After the session I felt a positive difference in my physical and mental wellness and I would recommend you give this class a try.
